Hi all Um. I may just have had a lightbulb come on.
<blush> When I bought the KVM I noticed that it had an optional 5V DC feed, but I never plugged in an AC adapter as I didn't a suitable one handy. Can I assume that things may work rather better if the KVM wasn't drawing power from the USB connections to the host? It states that it wants 5V DC @ 2.6A which is scary as I believed the max allowable device draw was 500mA. So if it's getting by with 20% of the current it really wants...
