Better still, disable kudzu completely. If you install any new hardware, you can run it again manually. You don't need it to check for new hardware every time you boot. There is bound to be somewhere to configure the services that are started up at boot time in the Mandrake Control thingie. I can check for you later tonight when I get home. Later David Kirk
