I'm happy with my Motorola Milestone. (I'm actually very happy with everything but the battery life, which is only about a day with all the radios enabled.) I'm quite pleasantly surprised by the Android 2.x on-screen keyboard. I've only ended up using the Milestone's physical keyboard when SSHing somewhere. Scala is another amusing excuse to play with Android... but I really want Clojure.
