libvesa
Based on svgalib by Harm Hanemaayer et al.;
adaptation by Chris Pressey
Description
Libvesa is a fork of svgalib which is intentionally restricted to
providing VESA support,
on the argument that any modern video card should be able to handle the
VESA
protocols. It includes a newer version of LRMI than svgalib did, and
much of the
code and build infrastructure has been cleaned up too. Libvesa worked,
to a degree,
on FreeBSD 4.x last time I tested it; it was originally intended for
DragonFlyBSD,
but for obscure reasons, LRMI never seemed to work there.
