number one problem is using lithium.  at $20,000 there no way they can
convince anyone to use them.  the life of the lithium isnt very long. In a
laptop, you'd be lucky to get more than 2 years out of them.

number two is charging the caps from the batteries.  wouldnt it be better to
charge the ultracaps from the regen or a small onboard generator that burns
a gallon of gas every 3 or 4 hours?

idea is sound and makes perfect sense but the cost of the lithiums would be
the biggest weapon against it by the people fighting against electric cars.
