number one problem is using lithium. at $20,000 there no way they can convince anyone to use them. the life of the lithium isnt very long. In a laptop, you'd be lucky to get more than 2 years out of them. number two is charging the caps from the batteries. wouldnt it be better to charge the ultracaps from the regen or a small onboard generator that burns a gallon of gas every 3 or 4 hours? idea is sound and makes perfect sense but the cost of the lithiums would be the biggest weapon against it by the people fighting against electric cars. _______________________________________________ Florida EAA mailing list listserv@floridaeaa.org http://www.floridaeaa.org
