The LiveCD Readme.txt mentions that we can use jhalfs from the LiveCD. I'm working on documentation ( html and pdf ) to fully describe this process. I hope that my documentation could be of use to people new to Linux From Scratch who would like to get a Linux From Scratch system running in a short time.
