2 hours later while I have been watching the X factor on TV, I have been
thinking about my last answer.
I want to step back from that answer and go back to what it's all about.(
If i'm wrong , someone out there please correct me)
If you want to run a fat client, the clients should have at least 1GB
memory. 2GB would be better.
The more memory the client has the more it will relieve the server.
A thin client is used when the user cannot afford memory and the server
takes all the load.
For me a local app is used when you need to run an application that uses a
resource that cannot be shared. e.g.twinkle need to have it's own port and
unless run as a local app will not work. on more than one client.
A local app would probably be in order for a thin client of say 500mb where
you could run the browser as a local app.
I think you should forget about trying to solve running this big app as a
separate issue. Just build a fat client and let the ltsp do the job it was
designed to do.
