Jay,
Ah, I know that problem well. Anyone know why the User & Groups gui won't
work on a thin client?

My hack-ish solution is to do a find & replace on the /etc/groups file
after adding the user.

But I think officially you should add new ltsp users to these groups thus:
# useradd -G dialout,fax,cdrom,floppy,tape,dip,video,plugdev,fuse username

Perhaps you create an alias out of that in your ~/.bashrc

You can double-check a users' member groups with the command:
id username
-peter

Ridiculously easy VDI. With Citrix VDI-in-a-Box, you don't need a complex
infrastructure or vast IT resources to deliver seamless, secure access to
virtual desktops. With this all-in-one solution, easily deploy virtual
desktops for less than the cost of PCs and save 60% on VDI infrastructure
costs. Try it free! http://p.sf.net/sfu/Citrix-VDIinabox
