Hi folks, For quite some time I've been trying to set up an LTSP5 on a Suse12.1 on our server. There are couple of glitches, however, so I decided to use the current LTSP4.2 setup from the system to be able to log in and work with the system. When I tried LTSP5 first, it came up, everything worked ok, but I'm afraid most of our clients are too small to cope with the default kernel (but on the long run, I'll want to get it running).
One of the questions that came up is, where is LDM? When I started the system for the first time, it used something called LXDM - was that the right one? (Currently, I'm using KDM with LTSP4.2). When I look it up in Yast, it says it's not been installed yet, but the description reads "it must be installed in chroot [...] and is for developers only". Thinking it over, is LDM used for LTSP5 clients only, and the rest of the system uses KDM for instance? Big ??? Hope you can shed some light on this :-) Rolf ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Virtualization & Cloud Management Using Capacity Planning Cloud computing makes use of virtualization - but cloud computing also focuses on allowing computing to be delivered as a service. http://www.accelacomm.com/jaw/sfnl/114/51521223/ _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
