Hi all:

I Handle an student's lab with 120+ PC configured as fat clients with
ubuntu 12.04 and several replicated ltsp servers

I use ldap to authenticate users and a separate nfs/cifs NAS server to
store student's home directories.

With Ubuntu 10.04 I replaced ldm with gdm and successfully mounted $HOME
via pam_ldap+pam_mount on fat clients

But in Ubuntu 12.04 this is no longer possible: I cannot replace ldm
with gdm. Even worse: ldm uses ssh to authenticate and sshfs to mount
home against server. This has no sense for fat clients, and creates
bottlenecks when every students try to log in at the same time on
starting session

So:
- Is there any way to replace ssh/sshfs behaviour with pam{_ldap/_mount}
on ldm to authenticate users and mounting homes ?
- If not, what's the right way to handle an ldap/nfs environment with
Ubuntu 12.04's ltsp fat_client ?

Thanks in advance
Juan Antonio
