We are happy to announce that LyX has been accepted as a mentoring organization in Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2013.
The Google Summer of Code (GSoC) is an annual program, in which Google awards stipends to hundreds of students who successfully complete a requested free and open-source software coding project during the summer. The program is open to students aged 18 or over. (Wikipedia) We invite students to propose their ideas or visit our GSoC-Ideas wiki page (http://wiki.lyx.org/Devel/SummerOfCode2013Ideas). The application starts in about two weeks and the deadline is May 3rd. Keep in mind that it would need enough time to write good proposal to be accepted.
