What about the OO OpenDocument xml format ? Would it be too complex for LyX ? Also, reading about these ideas to have an all-in-one container file format, I'm wondering if, at the end, you won't end up into an xml spec that is someway similar to that. Plus, what about maths ? Would they be represented as smth. like MathML instead of plain LaTeX that you have now ?
