As the message says, you need to update the l3kernel LaTeX package. If
you are using MiKTeX for your LaTeX distribution then use the MiKTeX
package manager or the MiKTeX update service. It would be a good idea to
update all the l3 bundles. There are currently 5 of them: l3build,
l3ctr2e, l3experimental, l3kernel, l3packages.
