No.

What is the problem with the concept of a list of paragraphs, each holding
a list of rows, each with some characters or nested insets? The only
problem I see is some implementation that makes things complicated.  "Hand
wired" paragraph lists etc. No need to feel offended I am not blaming
anybody here, most of the stuff seems to be in from the very beginning. 

I see quite a few parallels between "math cells" and "paragraph rows"
and "math inset" and "paragraph".
