Why do you need to set CPP?

Why do you need to set -I and -L options? --with-extra-prefix does it
perfectly well (it is your right to do as you wish, but I do not want
to advise to do that in a README).

Is the problem with std::count still relevant now that we have
lyx::count?

Tell me (again?) what the problem was with autoconf 2.13.

The lyxsum.C problem should be investigated, methinks
