If writing in straight LaTeX one can \begin{equation} ... \end{equation} to put numbers to the right of equations. Numbering is turned off in \begin{displaymath} mode.
LyX appears to support both inline math and display mode math. I have one equation that I want to number so I can reference it in the text. How do I place that equation number to the right when the equation has been entered in display math mode?
TIA,
