I hope that character style implementation  will be macro-based, so that 
changing the macro
will change all occurences.

Of course, such an approach needs a different macro for each style edition
occurring more than once, theroratically.

In that line, I don't see much difference between character style 
implementation and the
current implemention of math macro, nor with a general macro editor allowing to 
build any local
construct and make it available.
