Dear Lyx Users, I am writing an article and I want to follow IEEE format guidelines. So I'm making my article two columns. However, I have an equation which is too long for a single column. Rather than break the equation in two, the IEEE has the equation move to the bottom of the page where it can span across both columns without breaking. It is further separated from the text by a horizontal line. How can I create this with LaTeX?
