Is LyX 1.6.8 the last version for Windows 2000? (1.6.9 installs, wont run)

Hi:

LyX 1.6.8 installs and runs fine on my Windows 2000 system.

I used LyX extensively on both my Windows 2000 and XP systems until a year
ago.  I just returned to my LyX project after 12 months today, to discover
that LyX 1.6.9 installed on Windows 2000 without incident, but when I tried
to run it, I got an error message (forgot to write it down)

THIS IS NOT UNPRECEDENTED – A FEW YEARS AGO THE SAME THING HAPPENED – a new
version of LyX would not run, AND GOT CORRECTED SOMEHOW.

I have another Windows 2000 computer I plan to try to load 1.6.9 into, to
confirm compatibility.

I do like Windows 2000, and so do many other diehards.

I hope, if it’s not problematic, that you can keep supporting Windows 2000.
