This does not work on a all pages but when it is there it will just read the
text of the web page with all the links etc stripped out.
This is similar to the experience on an iOS device and is very nice on
supported pages. It works well on the BBC site..
Apart from that using quick nav and single letter navigation will jump you
to H for headings etc. You may need to set this up in voiceover Preferences
under quick nav.
If the page is really unhelpful use item Chooser and simply start typing the
words you are interested in. This should jump you either to a relevant
heading or text you want to read.

my mac should be here in the next 24 ours. in the mean time i have a
question witch has been bugging me for quite some time.
if i go to a big website with lots of stuff and i want to read some text on
the page how do i jump past all the links, heddings and other stuff to get
there using Safari?
