Hello Linda, Pages is not good for reading straight through a document. Sometimes it works but most often it doesn't. If this is a document created in Pages, then I'd just select all (Cmd-a), copy to clikpboard and paste into a TextEdit document which will read straight through just fine.
I set a short cut for the Service New TextEdit Window Containing Selection. You can do this by going to System Preferences/Keyboard/Short cuts and selecting Services in the first table. You'll find this option under Text in the second table. It's a very useful command in many situations. Cheers, Anne On 30 Jul 2013, at 04:41, Linda C.
