Hi all. I’ve got another good one! I’m experiencing power down issues when I have any of
my USB hubs connected to my mac mini running dual boot Tiger & Debian
2.6.16/17 kernels. My mac mini appears to shut down as expected and blanks the
screen and turns off the internal fans etc, however when pressing the power
button to restart the machine its apparent that the unit wont turn on until I
depress it for 5 seconds, at which point you can hear the what I think is the disks
powering down, with the machine finally shutting itself off fully. Once this
has been done, the machine fires up as normal. This doesn’t happen when shutting down from OSX with
any the same USB hubs attached, so I believe it’s an issue with linux and
the shutdown process. Has anyone experienced anything similar or have any
suggestions please? This doesn’t pose an issue with reboot, just the
shutdown with USB devices connected. Thanks in advance Martin -- |
