Hey,

I've got a Macbook on loan so I thought I'd mess with it a little. Well before I knew it I had partitioned the drives and installed Ubuntu. Then went on to read that I need OS X to install either Boot Camp or rEFIt in order to get it to boot. Well, unfortunately I do not have the OS X CD also on loan, so I can't just reinstall OS X.

So now I have a macbook just sitting here doing nothing. It would be nice if I could get it to boot and mess around with it. Is there any way at all to either get rEFIt installed, or somehow get this machine to boot to the installed Ubuntu?

Everything I've read and googled seems to indicate that at least a dual-boot is required. If I ever did get a Macbook [Pro] I would want single-boot anyway.

Thanks for any help,
Mike
