hey there,
has anybody successfully used the mini-dvi2composite or svideo converter
with linux? particularly the new xrandr extension?

Does xrandr need a configuration for a tv in xorg.conf to actually
recognize the connected tv as a tv?

xrandr -q:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~ $ xrandr -q
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1280 x 800, maximum 1280 x 1280
VGA disconnected (normal left inverted right)
LVDS connected 1280x800+0+0 (normal left inverted right) 286mm x 178mm
   1280x800 59.9*+
   1024x768 60.0
   800x600 60.3
   640x480 59.9
TMDS-1 connected 1024x768+0+0 (normal left inverted right) 0mm x 0mm
   1024x768 60.0*
   800x600 60.3
   640x480 59.9
TV disconnected (normal left inverted right)

I am using xorg 7.2 with the new intel driver and kernel 2.6.20.7 on a
1st generation macbook.

bye

david
