Applications can add additional directories and files to a backup by putting a configuration file to /etc/osso-backup/applications/. However we had a bug in backup in our first release. (see https://maemo.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=306) This makes it harder for apps installed by the app installer to tell the new locations for the backup.
