I disagree strongly. I made a fair few "tidy-up" additions to the maemo wiki before creating an account. These minor alterations were made in response to, for example, following a howto and noticing inaccuracies as I went along and are - IMHO - just the sort of low-barrier-to-entry modifications we should welcome from any passing good-willed user.
Maybe there should be a 'voting time' for every change: After a change, there should be a 'bullshit' button near the changed text. If enought readers (hopefully good-willed users..) during the voting time presses the button, the change should be discarded automatically. ;-) Of course there should be some mechanics to prevent same person voting several times etc..
