Please vote for: https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6694 Stefan there suggests using libplayback, but it's {un,under}documented - or at least I wasn't able to figure out how to get the desired behaviour. Please also share your findings if you figure out how to make it work (at least FM Radio and Panucci also want to achieve the same thing you want with Vagalume, but we have not figured it out yet).
