I made this decision because it really was trying to work around, IMO, misconfigured (remote) mail servers, and it was difficult to get right in the face of ccTLDs. If you have members who cannot fix their mail servers to include canonical From: addresses, then the workaround is the same as if that member wants to post from multiple addresses.
