AFAIK BSD license shouldn't be a problem with LGPL and APL, not entirely 
sure about GPL. But Sarissa is available under the first two, so I guess 
that's not a problem. (I'm not an expert in licensing though)
168K is quite big, do you mean with 'to complete sarissa' that you want; 
to add the complete library to sarissa, to add bits and pieces to 
sarissa or to replace sarissa?
An alternative approach would be to load google-ajaxslt only when Safari 
is used. This adds Safari support to Mapbuilder, without causing bigger 
downloads for the rest of the browsers.
