Hi all

We are gearing up for a new release. The openlayers integration is so
good as completed. Tomorrow we will merge that work back to trunk so it
will be part of the official Mapbuilder. Once that is done we will go
through all the files in trunk and move out anything that is obsolete or
not working, these files will go to /archive and can be moved back if
they are working again, or there is a strong use case that requires them
again.
We also want the /demo folder to contain only working demos (obviously)
which showcase everything that Mapbuilder offers. So I urge everyone to
walk through the demos in trunk (after the merge) and join the
discussion on which ones should go and which ones stay. Also if there
are features not shown in demos or demos are too complex to understand,
please do discuss this as well.

The next step will be to write tests for all the remaining demos. This
is something everyone can do and we need the help of everyone. Since
going through all the files, check them and decide whether or not they
stay already takes up a lot of our developer-resources. If you want to
write tests, please send an email to the user and/or dev list that you
want to do so and which demo you are writing for. This way we prevent
people writing tests for the same demo twice. With these tests we can
keep checks on the quality of Mapbuilder while developing new functions.
You can find more information on the tests here:

Hope to hear from you soon ;)

Steven
