Andreas Hocevar updated MAP-420:
--------------------------------
Attachment: cscs_ignore_errors.diff
This patch modifies the files in the cscs library to only output mb
error messages when the global constant "MB_IGNORE_CSCS_ERRORS" is not
set.
So if you have an application where cscs errors occur and you are 100%
sure that you really do not care, you can specify
"MB_IGNORE_CSCS_ERRORS=true"
in your html file that uses Mapbuilder.
Note that this is only a workaround, and it is only recommended if you
really know what you are doing.

> When working with projected layers, cscs will generate tm2llNoConvergence
> errors. These errors are hard to reproduce. They only seem to occur on
> certain combinations of map extent and latitude, but I did not find out what
> the problem really is.
> I stumbled across it when moving the mouse over a map that uses the
> CursorTrack widget. I checked for valid points in CursorTrack and also made
> some changes in the code, but those only helped to increase performance, not
> to get by the errors.
> These errors come from utm.js and tmerc.js, if delta_phi is still larger than
> EPSLN after max_iter iterations. But I have no idea what that means.
> Maybe it is safe to ignore these errors (which I really cannot judge for all
> of Mapbuilder, but for CursorTrack it certainly is)? Anyway, this should be
> further investigated.
