Sorry to not reply earlier, I've been on vacation off the net for a while. I can't recall exactly why that got in there or for which widget it was intended for, but it must have solved a problem early on and was most likely a quick hack. It sounds like you 2 have worked out a good solution and I agree with the resolution.
