Just before your message came in, I found out that OL has a similar
problem:

- open e.g. http://www.openlayers.org/
- zoom in with the scrollwheel on the map (e.g. on the Canary Islands):
  map zooms in OK
- now press Ctrl+ [Control-Plus] a few times (increase the font size)
- zoom in with the scrollwheel on the map (e.g. on the Canary Islands):
  not OK, map zoom in the wrong place!
