Yes you can show WMS layers from different servers, and it is quite 
easy, although I don't think we have an example.

All you need to do is update one of the context.xml files to use Layers 
from different sources.
Here is a list of context.xml documents.
http://demo.communitymapbuilder.org/demo/mapbuilder/demo/data/context/

Copy the contents of a <Layer> ..</Layer> tag from atlasWorld.xml into 
demisWorldMap.xml or one of the example/*/context.xml files.
