Put these into fdo folder. 5) Tried again - this time, no more complaints about missing dlls - only I get that same message as the other day, saying that the server connection's been lost...and then my mgserver.exe completely freezes. It freezes when trying to preview a sid layer or load a layout that has a sid layer in it (even though it's off). So, I'm still out of luck - and unable to use 2.2 RC1...which is really too bad, because it's got some great enhancements I've been waiting for for a while...Hopefully someone can help get this going so that I can get onto this newer version. Thanks Trevor - that's where I got my instructions from...I just double checked the gdal16.dll version number that comes with 2.2, and it's the same as the one listed on that site - the other files all came from there...I'll give it a 3rd try a bit later today, maybe. One question - just to be 100% clear, I shouldn't have to touch the providers.xml file, right? The gdal is listed in there, by default - using GRFPProvider.dll...which is correct, as I understand it. Also, is there a way to use just the mrsid plugin? It seemed like I had to use both sid and ecw, in order to avoid errors about missing dlls....do they have to both be installed?
