Hi, I've had time to commit the wxpdfdoc pdf output into an experimental
branch. You can find it in /branches/experimental-pdf/
notes:
- I haven't updated scons, since I never could get it working on
windows. The new files are in /pdf/, /include/pdf/, /demo/pdf/, and
/bindings/python
- I have included my patches to wxpdfdoc in /thirdparty/wxpdfdoc-patch
- Build instructions are in /msvc/readme.txt
- A visual studio solution/projects for all of mapnik (agg, mapnik,
input plugins, python bindings, pdf demo) is included in /msvc/.
- A c++ demo is included in /demo/pdf
Have a look and see what you think, I don't have much time for working
on this any more, but you might see some features you like:
- turning on/off map layers in the pdf
- laying out the map on a page (e.g. no full page output) so you can add
+ grids
+ overlay images (including pdfs)
+ scale bars
+ borders around the map
