thanks for pointing out this issue.
 
I just tried it myself: the global search results get shown on the map but 
not in the list widget.
As soon as 
 
Is the latter the issue?
 
I added a fix in 2017 since the whole feature stopped working since we are 
using Nominatim for the search and the service discontinued http protocol 
support in favor of https.
 
I'll quickly try to look into it but I'd be glad about any additional help 
:-)
