I am not a LO developer but we use it company-wide.

I'd strongly advise against a horse as a mascot.

Horses are not considered terribly smart, nor are they cute.

You want to convey that LO is the smart choice, and that it works hard
for you. A horse does not convey that message.

If you look at the cuteness factor, then use a baby big cat. Or a puppy
of one of the big dogs.
