About 51 years ago I took a course in Asian Studies at the University of
British Columbia.
Our professor (or instructor, not sure which) told us that on this point the
government in Beijing and the government of Taiwan were in agreement, both
maintaining the Chinese claim to Tibet.
I understood this to be an implied support for that claim, and I did not have
sufficient knowledge to challenge this.
