In his 1995 book, Image and Reality of the Israel–Palestine Conflict, Norman
Finkelstein details his efforts to get a letter published in NYRB re Joan
Peters book, From Time Immemorial. Finkelstein had done the forensic work of
ploughing through Peters' book and exposing it. The NYRB couldn't bring
themselves to publish his critique of the review they had published.
