Sure. But Nicaragua was about the size of Brooklyn and had a GDP equal to what Americans spend on blue jeans each year. Also, the Morenoites advocated nationalizing all the land, even that which belonged to the ranchers and farmers who supported the FSLN. Well, the FSLN would have been toppled in 1980 rather than 1990 but they would likely have been martyrs to the cause, I suppose. Maybe the idea was to seize power in Brooklyn rather than Nicaragua although I wouldn't pin my hopes on Bhaskar Sunkara.
