For one thing, Taibbi is anti-socialist.  Moreover, he has a sophomoric 
understanding of it, as evinced by his comment in a recent radio program where 
he attributed his opposition to socialism to the fact  he didn’t like what he 
saw in the USSR.  If a person can’t think straight, one quirky thing after 
another is bound to occur.
