Velocity is now working in Maverick 2.0, including transforms! Actually, it was quite simple thanks to the Struts integration efforts by the Velocity folks. In fact, there are no longer separate jsp, velocity, and document view types... just "document" suffices for all three. This should make Maverick even easier to understand.
Since it simply uses the normal DocumentViewFactory, I left the friendbook-velocity example in the core distribution. I'm not sure this is such a great idea; perhaps it should be packaged into an opt-velocity distribution along with DVSL transforms. Friendbook-velocity is rather large 'cause it includes an (unfortunately required, although not for compilation) bleeding-edge version of the Velocity distribution.
