Yeah, applying the MVC pattern to a web application is necessarily a
bastardization of the Smalltalk concept.  That's why I think it's funny
when people argue about whether Struts or WebWork or Maverick or whatnot
is more "philosophically pure" MVC.  You can't implement Observable on
the web.

Still, while mapping MVC into the web world is not exact, it is
analogous enough to be useful.  Fat client developers may deplore the
fact, but the term MVC is stuck in web vernacular and isn't going to go
away.  Yes it means something slightly different depending on the
context.  Oh well.
