I don't want to give you more work, but if you decide to re-visit that code, take a look here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/jj635732(v=vs.85).aspx It seems to imply that DXGI can handle a gamma ramp with values of 0. Is it possible that GammaMBS is using the older API?
