That sounds like a good request on connect. Know if one is open? -----Original Message----- From: Isaac Holmes [ihol...@nd.edu<mailto:ihol...@nd.edu>] Sent: Wednesday, January 28, 2015 08:47 PM Eastern Standard Time To: mdtosd@lists.myitforum.com Subject: Re: [MDT-OSD] RE: Problem with App role
Could be an issue with a mismatched app version number. If you have ever updated or modified an app package CM will modify the apps revision number. But then the revision number in the task sequence no longer matches the applications revision number and the TS process is not intelligent enough to look for the updated revision number. There is no easy way to update the revision numbers stored in the task sequence. To fix this in the TS delete the app from the TS, close the TS and save the changes. Then re-open the TS and add the apps back to the TS. Applying the changes and re-adding without closing the TS does not work. We use roles with SCCM2012 apps in them that are attached to PC’s. From time to time, the install apps sequence will fail, and when you look at the SMSTS log it will state “App policy for 'APP_NAME_HERE' not received. Make sure the application is marked for dynamic app install.” Of course, the apps in question are marked for install in a task sequence so that makes no sense. In a pinch, I just recreate the application and that pretty much always works. However I have a role for a lab that has around 30 apps in it, and it’s bombing on about 8 of the apps with the same error. I really don’t want to keep having to recreate the apps. Does anyone have any rhyme or reason as to why this is happening, or what might be the problem? Thanks.
