Agreed, R30's are sweet - a mate has a hatch and he's planted a FJ20ET in it - very sleepy and he never gets hassled. Funny about the 240K diffs - I was after a 3.9 and everyone said get a 240K - well damn I couldn't find a 3.7 in any of them and out of desperation I pulled the cover off a C210 and 39:10 gears. In the eyes of a 1600 owner the C210 was only good for the strong parts i.e. gbox & diff, brakes etc.

C210 Skyline was really just a re-badged 240K. It was sold as a 6-cyl competitor to the Ford/Holdens but was _badly_ letdown by the asthmatic engine. I've owned or driven all these cars and I reckon the early 240K's were a better car than the C210, but the R30 was lightyears in front of them both.... Anyway, I digress............ >I've pulled 3.7 out of 240K 5 speed many times - not even listed in the 240K >books but it is in a 240Z book - I give up on 240K diff ratios.
