I can always reproduce the bug on my i810 based system (Intel G965 motherboard).
I have cloned git HEADs of xorg-server and mesa, applied the proposed patches in
bug 8991 and I'm still getting a white screen for Beryl. The screen also
flickers a lot at the Beryl splash logo.
