John, I accept that meteorites have to be cut to study the matrix, and re-cut so more experts can study it, and cut even smaller in thin-sections to be studied some more. And I accept that pieces go to collectors for safe keeping and preservation. But I don’t like meteorites being sliced and diced and minced into tiny crumbs that are not even recognizable. As for spheres, skulls, rings, ……and over knick-knacks, No. It is adding insult to injury.
