Greetings,

I was looking through my big scope a couple of nights ago at the Whirlpool
Galaxy (also called M51) in the handle of the Big Dipper. As I was looking,
a meteor went through the field of view (rather quickly). I could see the
vapor of the meteor as it was burning up and some filaments extending out
from the trail as it was slowing. There was a
lot of detail.

A pretty impressive sight through the eyepiece of the telescope. It
certainly topped the jumbo jet I saw going through the field of view
one time.
